Thank you so much for sharing your inner most thoughts. It will be 4 years for me on June 5th. It is as if you are inside my mind, but I guess that is the bond that parents that lose a child share. My loss was a much different situation, but the change is the same. There will always be a "before Maddie" and an "after Maddie" died. That is how my life is divided. I would agree that my "after Maddie" life has been much more fulfilling, as I have worked hard to be a better person. God has blessed me beyond my understanding since her death (and before her death, I just didn't see it as clearly then!). Having her, and losing her, made me a much more kind and compassionate person to all. Again, thank you for sharing your thoughts. The journey to being able to dwell on the memories and not the "moment" is a long one for anyone. I am getting there slowly!

I am thankful that you have turned a tragedy around to reach out and help others who have lost. The Lord truly does comfort those who mourn.

Every word of what you said repeats the thoughts & emotions of our hearts, too! We have a great hope in knowing we will see Jessica again (died in car wreck on 7/26/03, 17 yrs old) and that is what gets us through. However, we will never understand why this had to happen until we see her smiling face in heaven. Only then will our sorrow disappear! Thank you for all you've done to help us, our son, Larry III, and others through the Amelia center. God bless you and your family.
